Eva Ann Randolph's Obituary
Eva Ann (McBride) Randolph,84, of Mannford, Oklahoma went home to the arms of Jesus on December 31, 2023 after a lengthy illness. She passed away at home surrounded by her precious family. She was born in Oilton, Oklahoma on July 12, 1939 to Jack and Elva McBride and was the 6th of 10 children, and the first girl of the family. The McBride family shared much love and laughter over the years.
Eva attended Oilton High School where she was a cheerleader for the Oilton Panthers. She graduated in 1957 and went to work for Dr. Woodard at the Drumright Clinic where her ponytail caught the eye of the new lab technician, Dale Randolph. He promptly asked her for a date to go riding around in his new ’57 Chevy which she accepted. After going on a first date to a Ricky Nelson concert in Oklahoma City, they were inseparable. They married on September 18, 1959 in the Oilton Church of God. Over the next 25 years, they lived in four different homes in Tulsa, raising their two daughters, Lori and Jill. Since Dale and Eva had a deep faith in Christ, they made sure the family was in church every time the doors were open at East Tulsa Church of God where deep and long-lasting relationships were made. Eva taught Sunday school through the years, from toddlers to junior high. She had a talent with little children and loved to read to them frequently.
Eva worked at Oklahoma Natural Gas until she had her two girls. She then became the perfect homemaker by any standard: cooking, baking cookies, having picnics, being homeroom mom, welcoming the girls’ friends, and always providing amazing hospitality for all. She was well known for her blueberry muffins, iced tea, and tuna fish salad sandwiches. After the children were raised, she worked at the Business Office at University of Tulsa.
In 1984, Dale was transferred to Oklahoma City where they made Shartel Church of God their beloved church home for the next 12 years. In that time, Lori married Dale Neace and moved to Indiana while Jill began working at the Federal Employees Credit Union in the Federal Building in downtown OKC. On April 19, 1995, Jill was killed in the bombing of that building, and their lives were forever changed. Eva lost her mother, Elva, that same year. But through all the trials and pain, the Randolphs stood firm on the promises of God and encouraged everyone around them.
Dale and Eva then retired and moved to Mannford, Oklahoma. Soon, Dale and Lori gave them four grandchildren: Rhana, Blake, Brett and Colby, and eventually, they all lived within a few miles of one another and attended Red Fork Church of God together. Life was beautiful for many years until Eva lost her precious husband, Dale, in 2019. Dementia began to take its hold on Eva, and she needed complete care until several strokes caused her to be bedfast. God was faithful and called her home to be with Him in a peaceful way on an early Sunday morning.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents (Jack and Elva), four brothers (Bob, Bill/Charlene, Ted/Delores, Leon/Judy), one sister (Betty Sue), brother-in-law Jim Bowen, her daughter (Jill), and her beloved husband (Dale); and sister-in-law, Rosalie McBride. She is survived by sisters: Bonnie (John) Sweeten of Oilton, Oklahoma; Janna (Tom) Phillippe of Hockley, Texas; Linda Bowen of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; brother Doyle McBride of Hilham, Tennessee; sister-in-law Fumiko McBride; brother/sister-in-law Verle (Beth) Randolph; daughter Lori (Dale) Neace of Mannford, Oklahoma, four grandchildren: Rhana (Derek) Garrison; Blake Neace; Brett (Cassidy) Neace; Colby Neace, all of Mannford, Oklahoma. Two great-grandsons: Graysen and Gavin Garrison and a little great-granddaughter, Rylie Jill on the way, due in March 2024. There is also a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss Eva very much.
