Fay Nell Murdock's Obituary
Fay Nell Murdock 79, resident of Claremore went home to be with her Lord and Savior, February 8, 2020. Fay was born May 4, 1940 in Westville, Oklahoma to Samuel Brice Welch and Ada Reese Welch. Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Brice Welch and Ada Reese Welch; husband Richard Kenneth" Ken" Murdock and brothers Joe Hammer, Billy Hammer and Jerry (Mickey) Hammer. She is survived by her son Eric Murdock and wife Lisa and daughter Gina Waggoner and husband David ; 3 grandchildren, Dustin Murdock, Austin Murdock and wife Morgan, and Mitchell Murdock and wife Meagan, 1 great granddaughter Maisie Murdock, Sisters Eva Welch, Barbara Smith and husband L.T, Glenda Whisman and husband Mirl Whisman. Fay graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa class of 1958. She married Richard Kenneth "Ken" Murdock on May 26, 1961 and later had 2 children Eric and Gina. In 1969, Fay and Ken and their kids moved to the country east of Broken Arrow on 50 acres so their children could have horses and plenty of room to play. They lived there until 1996 when they moved to their residence in Claremore, Oklahoma. She worked with her husband as a Home Builder starting in 1971. They built homes for 30 years before retiring in 2001.She loved reading her bible, church, cooking, landscaping, fishing, and camping trips. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be truly missed by her family and loved ones.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 12, 2020 for family 4pm-5pm and friends 5pm-7pm. Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00 am, Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow.
