Frank Myres Jr.'s Obituary
Frank Myres, Jr., was born April 8, 1939, in Tulsa, OK, to Frank Myres and Dorothy Warren Myres. He died on May 4, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of eighty-four years.
Frank was the youngest of four children. His siblings are Katherine Myres Whitehead (deceased), Johnnie Myres, and Willie Myres (deceased).
Frank completed his secondary education in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was a graduate of Webster High School Class of 1957. After high school, Frank joined the United States Navy and served on the USS Midway until 1961.
Upon discharge from the military, he was hired at the Tulsa Police Department, rising to the rank of sergeant and serving faithfully in many departments for thirty-five years, eight months, and seventeen days.
Frank met Patti Garrigus Graham in 1982, and they were married in November of 1984, celebrating thirty-eight years of marriage this past November. This union brought two sons: Brandon Frank Myres and Matthew Chase Myres.
In his spare time Frank enjoyed gardening, golf, tinkering in the garage, and small engine repair. He even took a course at Tulsa Tech in small engine repair so that he could fix his own equipment that would clearly never run again.
Frank was totally devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Frank leaves behind his wife, Patricia Myres; daughter Stacy Myres Deutsch (Terry); son Brandon Frank Myres (Ashley); son Matthew Chase Myres (Hali); and grandchildren Jake Smith (Mahala); Justin Smith (Tisa); Jerrod Smith (Kate); Carter Myres, Hudson Myres, Savannah Metcalf, Bryant Radcliffe, Camden Henley, Madalynn Hughes, Norah Myres, and Caroline Myres, as well as nine great grandchildren.
Frank was a wonderful provider, husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Visitation will be held 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 09, 2023, at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Visitation Suites in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Tulsa, 420 South Detroit Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma
