Fredde Schwaninger's Obituary
Fredde Patsy Schwaninger, 96, of Tulsa, passed away April 29, 2020 at Brookdale Broken Arrow. She was born August 19, 1923 in Tulsa to Fred Wallace and Jessy Amanda (Weems) Lucas. She had 1 brother and 2 sisters. She started her Christian life at Rosehill Methodist Church in Tulsa and after her marriage in May 19, 1946 to Lyle Eugene Schwaninger, they transferred to University United Methodist Church where they were long time members for over 50 years. After moving to south Tulsa they started attending Asbury United Methodist Church. She became a member of Happy Christians Community. Pat was a Sister of the Skillet, part of the pew crew for 3 years, greeter at the south door, and a greeter in her Happy Christians community. She always enjoyed UMW Unit and Circle meetings. She loved to research and find her family genealogy. She was a member of several genealogy associations and clubs. One of her favorite things was to make and send cards to friends. She worked in a few florist shops where she would design flower arrangements. She was a great cook and enjoyed baking things for the different groups. Fredde Pat was proceeded in death by her husband Lyle Eugene, of 51 years and son Wallace Eugene. Fredde Pat is survived by daughter Anita Lea Wimmer of Broken Arrow; and 4 grandchildren. A graveside service will be held May 5 at Floral Haven for immediate family and a celebration of Fredde Pat’s life will be held at a future date.
