I always have fond memories of her laugh, and I have special fond memories of being at Aunt Eileen's and Uncle Frank's with the cousins and all the fun and Pepsi! What a treat that was. Gail always had a special place in her Uncle Jess's heart and when he was dating my mom, he bought my mom a doll, which Gail happened to see and then realizing it wasn't for her, she got upset. Being the way my daddy was, he went and got another one for Gail. Gail is the one who told me that story….I am thinking of you Debbie and John and Wayne during this time, and remembering lots of laughs and fun when our families gathered together. I'll always remember how much fun we all had at the fish fries at Homer & Merle's, I always enjoyed being around Gail because she was so funny and sweet and at those fish fries when Gail's parents were still living it was when Gail really shined she was a daddy's girl, they were both so much fun to watch especially when they would play cards and her mom Eileen was so sweet too. It warms my heart to know that they are together again! I sorta suspect that Homer & Merle are still having fish fries with Jesus in attendance! It's in the Bible that He enjoyed a good party too. Wayne was a perfect husband for her and I can never remember when their names weren't always spoken together, even when they were in High School! We miss you Gail but we will see you again, God's Blessings and we are praying for your family!
I am pleased to be Gail's cousin. Many times over the years, when Gail was teenager, then a newlywed, and eventually a globetrotter with Wayne she would arrive in Wisconsin in-person or in family legends. She enjoyed life, and we enjoyed hearing about her joys. For me, Gail seemed to also be offering me a peek at what my mother was like at earlier stages in her life before I arrived. I hope all who knew Gail especially Wayne, John, and Debbie are comforted by memories of the joy in Gail's life–both what she offered and what she accepted. Thank you Gail.
I worked at Amoco with Gail. We were both secretaries in different departments but she and I and some other girlfriends nearly always had coffee breaks together and shared many laughs and also solved some problems of the world! We also got to hear about some events that occurred on the trips where she and Wayne traveled. I will always remember her as a caring and sharing person.
