Galen Ray Gibson's Obituary
Galen Ray Gibson, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away on December 5th, 2018 at the age of 76. He was born June 10, 1942 to James C. Gibson and Bonnie June (Dunlavy) Gibson in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army, 1964-1969, during the Vietnam Conflict and a Combat Vet. He rose through the ranks very quickly and became an Airborne Ranger and then became a Green Beret Special Force Intelligence Agency. And that point on he was honored with the Silver Star and 3 Purple Hearts. He was a recipient of the Congressional National Defense Metal and Republic of Vietnam Service. His greatest love and past time was spending time with his family.Survivors include his wife, Sunun Gibson; son, Vincent Allen Gibson; daughter, Gail Rae Gibson; son, Christopher Michael Gibson; his service dog, Betty Davis; brother, J. Alan Gibson and wife, Mary Lou and sister, Karma Jayne Stewart and husband, Al and numerous other relatives and friends.Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 13th at Floral Haven Rose Chapel with Reverend Richard Ziglar officiating.Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army.
