When I went by the fire station to visit Rodger, Sug always greeted me with "hello Darlin". It was probably because he could not remember my name, but I choose to think it was because he was such a wonderful guy, he thought all women were special, and we were all "Darlin's" in his eyes. He was always the first to call, to let Rodger know about Fireman being ill, or passing away. He was the Fire Dept's "town crier". When Rodger's appendix burst, and was in the hospital recovering, Sug was his first visitor. He was quick to let Rodger know "he should be dead". We always laughed a lot with him around.He will be sorely missed.Sharon Baker
