I worked with Gary many years in the lab as a tech and then in the installation of the computer system. He was such a gentle spirit and always fun to work with. We also played some golf in those days. My heart breaks for Carolyn and his family. Sending my deepest sympathy.

My late husband, Don Thomason, worked with Gary at OOH for a LOT of years! They had a great relationship, even if they did get a little off track sometimes!! I had to get used to Gary having a beard in the winter and then shaving it off in the summer. I enjoyed knowing him. Karen Thomason

I first met Gary when I was probably 15 or 16. So that was a long time ago! We used to spend ALL our weekends with him and a few other members of his family. There were so many! I used to love just sitting in the living room of the Newton's house and watch all the commotion. Gary was my birthday buddy. We were born on the same day but years apart! While I had not seen him in years I kept up with him via one of his sisters. I'll always remember that long crazy curly hair he had. And the cutest grin and sparkle in his eyes.
