Charlie, Neva and their son David were good family fiends of ours for most of our lives and Neva was one of my mothers very best friends almost her entire life and her and her family lived right around the corner from us back in the late 60’s until mid 70’s until my family moved to Edmond and Charlie and Neva moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. They stayed in touch mostly until they both got very, very old. My dad and Charlie worked together, played golf together and all 4 of them played bridge together on a regular basis during the years we still lived in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Also, Neva was a teacher at my elementary school as well and one of the best they had and all of the students loved her. Right before my mother had a car accident and may have had a mini stroke, which caused her eventual problems with her memory, she would often say how much she missed seeing Neva and I know the year before she had seen her maybe just two or three times. But, life has a way of getting ahead of us and suddenly the years have passed and time is up. Neva was a lovely person and will always be remembered and missed but I know she lived a long, productive formidable life and made an impact on a lot of people in a positive way and who could ask for anything more? Isn’t this what we all hope to do? lol. But now, I know she is in heaven, which is a better place than here on earth and is finally with her husband Charlie again. RIP Neva ❤️
