Geneva Irene Stroup's Obituary
Geneva Stroup, age 99 years, a resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed from this life Tuesday, April 16, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Geneva was born April 26, 1924 to James and Dora (McCurry) Paullus in Talala, Oklahoma. Geneva married the love of her life, Charles Stroup May 27, 1953 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Geneva had wings before she passed away. She was an elementary teacher for 37 years in Okmulgee, Muskogee, and in Rogers county. Three of those years she was voted teacher of the year. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
Geneva is preceded in death by her parents: James and Dora (McCurry) Paullus; husband of 62 years, Charles Stroup; great-great-granddaughter: Talia; and numerous sisters and brothers.
Geneva will be dearly missed by her son: David Stroup and wife Gail; grandchildren: David Stroup and wife Caylissa, and Chenoa Stroup; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, April 26, 2024, in the Veterans Field of Honor at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor James Lacey, officiating.
