George and Nancy were dear sweet neighbors to us for many years when I was growing up in North Tulsa. Thankfully, George tutored me through my high school algebra when I didn't think I could do it. Lots of fond memories of the whole family.
George was VERY kind to me...he taught me a lot, and I am grateful that I knew him.
So many things I remember and loved about Uncle George. I loved riding with him in his Beetle Bug, he loved how that car handled. He took us to his softball game in it and I was so impressed when he would catch fly balls behind his back.
I remember him teaching me how to play chess. I could never figure how he could play blindfolded. He lived in Colorado for awhile and my brother and I went to visit him there in Boulder.
And he at on time had an amazing dog, Reese’s, who could climb trees. He always had an opinion about something and I loved that about him.
I’ll miss you Uncle George. Love Randy
Uncle George is truly one of a kind. From his fondness of the Sooners to politics, he was always excited about something; excited about life. One memory that stands out is at Thanksgiving when I was at Baylor he asked what I was studying and we got into a discussion regarding a business management class and he made me feel much smarter than I was. That left me having so much respect and honor for him. I love you Uncle George. The mold was broken when God brought you to us. Rest In Peace in heaven with Aunt Nancy.
