George and I met when he was very young, not long out of high school. We worked together for several years at the old Boise Cascade Lumber yard . He was a great worker but an even greater friend . Big and strong but never overbearing and that made him special. He is the kind of man who leaves a void. But it is filled with good memories and love filled moments I’m sure !

So sad to hear that George has passed away, Kathy and I and the Upky family attended Collinsville Freewill Baptist Church for many years, we did many things together with his family, church activities, Branson trips with his and Denise’s children, Dane, Boone and Addie, they were wonderful years!, we all were very close,
Big George sang in church, I will never forget it, he put so much emotion in his singing, two songs in particular were
The Anchor holds and My Redeemer lives. We were blessed to have George in our lives, he will be greatly missed, but I thank God for George in our lives back then. Many prayers for his family.
