Gerald Adrian Lamb's Obituary
“Jerry” Lamb, 83, went to join his beloved wife Kathy on Sunday, June 17, 2012 in Tulsa, OK. He was born on September 21, 1928, to Cly and Lelia lamb (Standridge) in Ellenwood, Kansas. Jerry married the love of his life, Kathy Ann Schwemin, on July 12th, 1950, in Tulsa, OK. After graduating high school he worked as a pipeline welder until joining the Tulsa Fire Department. He retired from the T.F.D. in 1984 with 30 years of service at the rank of District Chief. Jerry was a beloved husband, father, and friend. Although extremely talented at fixing or doing almost anything he was quiet accident prone, but a quick healer. He had a quick temper, but it was mixed with a heart of gold, and a good sense of humor. He would always be there to help his family and friends in whatever they needed. A harder worker there never was. He will be sorely missed, but he’s happier now. Jerry was preceded in death by his only brother, Lonnie, in WWII, his parents, and his adoring and devoted wife Kathy, in 2005, which he never got over. He is loved, adored, admired, and survived by his three children Karen Lamb, Lonnie Lamb, and Cindy Lock, along with 8 grandchilden and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Floral Haven Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. Services will be at Floral Haven on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 10:00 am.
