Sent a gift in memory of Gilbert Pierce Cornett
There are no words that can convey what a special person Gil was. His charm, wit, and ever-present smile are forever etched into my mind and my heart. How blessed was I, as a young girl growing up, to get to run across the street from my grandparentsâ?? house and into the always waiting hug of Gil Cornett. Gil and Sue became one of my very favorite things about visiting my grandparents, and to this day, are a large part of my childhood memories. Through we grew up, and my grandparents are now gone, Gil and Sue have remained a constant bright spot in my life, and I dare say that the Earth is a bit less bright with Gil gone. But what a joy to know that he is with our Lord and Savior (and I sure hope he is up there giving his big bear hug to my grandparents too!). Love and hugs to the entire family. Thank you for sharing Gil with us, he will be so very missed.
So sorry for your loss. I have so many precious memories growing up with this family. I was young but will never forget swimming and the time spent together. Gil was always so much fun to be around. God received a very special angel! Hugs and prayers to your family:) Holly (Jackson) Lewis
So many great memories of Sue, Gil and the girls. We were so blessed to know them all, what an awesome family and Gil at the head!! Thank you so much for the Eagle print we received when daddy died I feel honored to have one. Gil you have touched so many lives with that and most you didn't even know. But I know each person was blessed. So thankful you are no longer in pain and I'm sure you are having a glorious time with others already there. We'll see you soon!🙏??😘
We were honored to have Gil, Sue and the girls in our lives! We watched him grow in the Lord as he helped in the church and traveled with the youth choir! We have many great memories with this family! We love all of you so much! We are also honored that in our Dad's passing last year, me and my sisters were presented with an Eagle picture for each of us! May the presence of the Lord rest in your hearts and the Holy Spirit bring the peace only He can bring!
Sue, my heart goes out to you and your family. I cherish the 49 years of friendship that I have shared with you and Gil. We know that our loved ones are no longer in pain. Lean upon the Lord, and He will see you through. Love, Lois
