Gilbert Pierce Cornett was born September 21, 1936 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed away June 4, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Gilbert was born to Boyd and Floy Cornett. Gilbert is survived by his wife Susan W. Cornett; daughter Angela Patrick and her husband Steve; daughter Gayellen Johnson and her husband Martin; grandchildren Hilary Comfort and her husband Jeff, Hayden Patrick, Chloe Patrick and Grant Johnson; one great-granddaughter Lucy Comfort and numerous other family members and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 11:00a.m. at The Assembly at Broken Arrow 3500 W. New Orleans Ave.; Broken Arrow, OK 74011In lieu of flowers, we request that donations be made to: Joy In The Cause 9524 E 81st St, Suite B1522 Tulsa, OK 74133 Donations can also be made on their website, joyinthecause.org. Your donations will go toward care packages that are sent out to soldiers and their families. The packages will be tagged with your name on them, in honor of Gil. A print of Gil’s Eagle painting will go into each care package. Joy In The Cause is a 501c3 charity whose focus is providing care, compassion and joy to those with life altering illness and special needs. All donations are tax deductible.
