Gordon and I were AA Supervisors at the ticket counter in Nashville from 1968 until I left for LAX in Dec. of 1971. He was a dear friend and colleague. He was smart, honest and straight forward and an example for all of us. He always had his ego under control and put others first.

My wife Diane and I were good friends with Gordon and Virginia. The entire family stayed with us for a short visit when I was briefly stationed in St. Croix for AA in part of '71. We remained friends forever and stayed in touch.

Gordon is definitely and man I came to admire and I will miss him muchly!!

Our hearts, love and prayers go out to Virginia, Sherri, Michael and the entire family!!

I had many meaningful conversations with Gordon about the Lord, life and ministry. His love for Christ and the people of God were ever at the forefront of his daily living.
Grateful to have known him and am a better man because of knowing him.

I will forever miss his sarcastic sense of humor and corny jokes. To know him was to love him! I will forever cherish the summers and Christmas that we spent in Oklahoma and how special he made them. From taking us to the country club pool to driving us around on the golf cart to making giant leaf piles in the backyard for us to jump into, it was always such a fun time and one of the best parts of my childhood.
I'm so blessed to have had him for 30 years and will miss him for the rest of my years. I love you so much, Papaw! If only I could tell you that one more time.

I will forever miss his sarcastic sense of humor and corny jokes. To know him was to love him! Papaw made our childhood summers in Oklahoma and Christmas in Oklahoma so fun and memorable. From taking us to the country club pool to letting us ride in the golf cart everywhere, to making giant leaf piles in your backyard for us to play in, it was always a fun time that I always looked forward to and will always cherish. I’m so blessed to have had you in my life for 30 whole years and I will miss you for the rest of my years. I love you, Papaw! And I wish more than anything that I could tell you that one more time.
