Gordon Lee Christopher, 84, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on March 17, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1940, in Devonia, Tennessee, to Cecil Lee Christopher and Mildred Ellen (May).
A devoted follower of Christ, Gordon’s faith guided his life. He served faithfully in his church, both in worship and in work, always eager to lend a helping hand. His love for God was evident in the way he cared for his family, friends, and community.
Gordon was a loving husband to his wife, Virginia, with whom he shared 63 wonderful years. Together, they built a family rooted in love, laughter, and faith. He was a dedicated father to Sherri Blackwell and Michael Christopher (Christi) and a proud grandfather to Courtney Christopher, Malcolm Blackwell, Dasha Blackwell, Trinity Blackwell, Casey Pool, Abby Christopher-Helaire, and Sean Christopher. His legacy also lives on through his great-grandchildren, Kaleb Pool, Kolby Pool, Sydnee Collins, Aaliyah Blackwell, Maverick Blackwell, Camdyn Helaire, Kairo Helaire, and Kairee Markland.
Gordon served in the U.S. Army, completing a tour in Germany. He carried that sense of duty and pride throughout his life. He was a passionate sports fan, cheering on the Oklahoma City Thunder and his beloved University of Tennessee. Golf was one of his greatest joys, and he spent many happy hours on the course. Music was another passion—he loved to play the piano, filling his home with melody and warmth.
Known for his sarcastic humor and quick wit, Gordon had a way of making people laugh. He was a loyal friend, a dedicated family man, and a man of unwavering faith. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love, laughter, and wisdom will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Mildred.
