Harold L. Chapman's Obituary
Harold Ladon Chapman, born September 18, 1941 to Leanord and Eva (Stidham) Chapman , in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Harold passed from this life February 23, 2015 at the age of 73. Harold was the 4th of five children. He graduated from Hickory High School in 1959. After graduation, he began a career in construction with his older brother Charles. He would later start his own business in the automotive tool industry. He retired in 2006 after a long and successful career in the automotive tool industry. After retirement Harold and Barbara spent most of their time traveling from state to state, trying out different camp grounds with their trusty fifth wheel in tow. They spent nearly every summer with their family at Pine Island on Grand Lake. Harold and his family lived in Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Colorado and of course Oklahoma. He was married to Barbara Jean Bisel on October 14, 1960. They attended and were members of several Christian churches around the country. In more recent years they are members of Christ Presbyterian in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Harold enjoyed his family immensely. He loved fishing and spending time with his kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His favorite thing to do was get together with the family at Pine Island. Harold is survived by his wife of almost 55 years, Barbara Chapman of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; daughter, LaDonna (Chapman) Donathan and spouse Scott Donathan of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his son Todd Chapman and spouse Bunnie Chapman of Broken Arrow, OK; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a countless number of friends. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Eva Chapman; brothers, Charles Chapman and Bill Chapman; his sister Geneva Chapman; his grandson Evan Donathan; his great granddaughter Esther Donathan; and his great grandchild Baby Donathan. Visitation will be held 10:00 AM through 8:00 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2015, at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Visitation Center located at 6500 South 129th East Avenue, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
