Harold E. Roop's Obituary
Harold Eugene Roop born on November 9, 1932 in Tulsa Oklahoma to Samuel James Roop and Georgia Katherine (Garris) Roop. Harold went to be with the Lord on February 27th, 2016 at the age of 83 years old. Harold graduated from Central High School in Tulsa Oklahoma. Very shortly after, he enlisted in the United States Air Force on January 11, 1950. During his time in service, he received two awards, an Occupational Medal while serving in Germany and a National Defense Service Medal for serving during the Korean War. Harold Roop was Honorably Discharged January 10, 1954. He was a proud member of The Hospitalized Veterans of America, local (VFW) Veterans of Foreign War, and American Legion.Harold is survived by his beautiful wife Mary Lou (Blair) Roop and they walked through 47 memorable years together. He is also survived by seven children Sam, Harold, Bill, Sandra, Rhonda, Eric, and David; He was preceded in death by his daughter (Kathy) Katherine Diane (Roop) Daugherty. Grandchildren: Tony, Johnny, Sarah, Rachel, Jeremy, Austin, Lindsey, Jennifer, Lenai, Will, Ben, Caroline, Ashley, Andrew, Steven, Kelly, Samantha and 24 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Service to be held on Friday, March 4th, 2016 -12:30 p.m.-Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
