When my Wendy was 2 years old, Dorothy was her preschool teacher and more often than not, Howard was in the classroom. Wendy loved Dorothy and Howard. One day at home with her sisters, they were going to play the Wizard of Oz. Susie said “I’ll be Dorothy!” Without missing a beat, Wendy said “I’ll be Howard!” 🙂 I have always loved that memory, and like to think now that Wendy, who left us in December 2015, has connected with her favorite Howard as they wander around together in their new home on the other side. Howard was a dear gentleman who meant a lot to me, especially during my days at Sandusky as the Children’s Minister. Much love to Dorothy and Amy and Lori, and the rest of Howard’s lovely family, as you all learn to live with him in your hearts and memories.
