I remember Mark from the widow and widower work shop. He was a strong, caring man and always had ready smile. I appreciate Mark’s kindness towards me during a difficult time. I am sorry I am unable to attend his Memorial Service as I live in Utah. Prayerful thoughts to Marie and all his extended family.
I first met Mark at a widow-widowers support group. He was a quiet and reserved man. One thing I observed about Mark was that he always had his son with him at the group activities. I found that to be very admirable. I did not truly realize he was "sweet" on Marie until after Rory and I had exited the group. But, I did see them together at later gatherings and found them to be such a cute couple who looked to be truly in love. Rory and I are grateful that we both had the opportunity to meet Mark and to experience he and Marie together as a couple. He will truly be missed, especially for his dry sense of humor, and his kind and gentle ways that he showed he was a true man of God. I know that he is rejoicing in his new life in Heaven and we will all meet again when God calls the rest of us Home. Barb and Rory Scruggs
