Jeannie was a true blessing to our family. She was our kids adopted grandmother. She cared for all the neighborhood kids. We will truly miss her. We celebrated her birthday before she got ill.
Jeannie was such a big part of the McBride family.
Over the past several years she became Grandma Jeannie. She said to me more than once that she knew me before I was born. And so we had something special between us. She was a beautiful combination of someone who had a heart of gold for others while always being real, always speaking from who she really was without pretense. Always extremely generous. She and I had some great in depth conversations and I will cherish all of them.
When I met Jeff he asked Jeannie for her approval and that was very special. She gave her approval and liked Jeff and loved to dance to his music. She always managed to be the life of the party. The one who truly brought life to every gathering.
While that life will be missed, there is a part of her that will always live on in my life and put a smile on my face.
We are going to miss her dearly.
Shawn and Jeff
We have great memories of our week-ends, and Christmas's where our kids were able to spend time together in Palmdale, and I also learned a lot about cooking from Jean.
Aunt Lori
We got to know Ollie & Jeanie when we moved into the neighborhood in 2006 and loved them immediately. The school bus stop was right in front of their house and Ollie & Jeanie usually sat outside to greet & watch over the kids when they got dropped off. They sometimes gave the kids rides in their golf cart and treats to the neighborhood dogs, especially our Jessie. Beautiful people and great neighbors, we are so sad and praying for their friends & family who are missing them as much as we are right now - Eric, Tanya, Ocea & Alannah Palmer
