My Grandmother–or as we called her, Neenee–was a woman full of kindness and love. I will forever miss driving to her house first when we make the trip from Kansas City to Tulsa. I'll miss her voice and the way she said my name. I will miss her hugs when we would leave town, as hard as it was to leave her. I'll miss going bowling with her every few trips to Tulsa, and how proud she was to show us how good she REALLY still was.I will miss everything about NeeNee. She was the sweetest Grandmother I could have ever asked for. She touched the lives of everyone she met and that was obvious as I grew up, hearing about the same two Gentleman who grew up frequenting her magic shop, that never stopped caring for her and checking on her.I love you NeeNee–it puts a smile on my face to think of you and Earl back together again. Maybe even Tigger and Pretzy ??
I have so many memories of Irene. Visits over the back fence, sharing recipes, neighborhood gossip, our lives. Irene was always bringing me dinner, (or having Joe bring it), sometimes I thought it was one of her missions in life to feed me. She was the 1st person I met when I moved to the neighborhood 15 years ago, when she brought me a plate of brownies. Irene, I can't fathom your not being there. I already miss you! Carol and Brian, and your families, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Your mom was so proud of both of you, and talked about you all the time. Big hugs!Pat Johnson
I am Joe's daughter-in-law. She was such a sweet person and we are so sorry to hear she has passed. We felt she was part of our family. Love and prayers
