Jack Edward Kiper, 91, passed away on August 4, 2024 in Owasso, Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Tulsa Will Rogers High School and The University of Tulsa. He was a U.S. Marine and very proud of his service in the Korean War. Jack Read Obituary
Coach Kiper was one of the best instructors Berryhill offered when I was in high school. I'm a 1969 BHS grad and I always enjoyed American History which he taught. His lessons were always informative, and you could count on laughing sometime during each class.

Coach Kiper was an excellent history teacher. I learned so much from him. His tests were awesome, because if you had learned anything in his class, you wouldn’t have time to get to the second question. You wrote the whole hour on the first one. He made the class interesting. This was at Berryhill in 1968-1969. Condolences to his family.
I had the honor of playing football for Coach Kiper for 4 years. He led us by example, and instilled in me a passion for American History. I patterned my own career after his influences in the classroom and on the field. Coach Kiper and his staff were the nucleus of the Berryhill experience for me and that part of my life. I will forever be indebted to him for his guidance. Love you Coach. Sarge
During a fire drill our 2nd period World History class started pinging snowballs at the other classes around us in the east lot at Mason. We did till Coach Kiper and Coach Harris yelled at us to cut it out. The uncharacteristic venom was a rude though bc seconds later Coach Kiper walked among his class to tell us to stock ammo and charge Coach Harris'at his signal. We had a snow war. It was great. It was cool just like Coach K who brought history alive with his unique way of telling it. Peace Coach K and to all who love him.

Coach Kiper was the best. Terrific teacher and coach. Those of us who went to Mason were so lucky to have him in our lives.
