Jackie L. Blevins' Obituary
Jackie Leo Blevins was born February 5, 1939 in Fame, Oklahoma. He grew up in Fame where he met his wife Edith. Jack was saved and baptized at the Fame Baptist church as a youth. Jack and Edith graduated from Stidham High School, after graduation Jack joined the United States Air Force. He and Edith were married in September 1957. Jack served his country from 1957 to 1962. After his service years, Jack moved his family to Oklahoma City where he was employed by Cummins Sales and Service from 1963-1995. He then was employed in Muskogee at Trucks-for-U until his retirement, when Jack and Edith returned to their current home in Tulsa. They had been married 58 years at the time of Jack’s passing. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd (Famous) Blevins and Arveta Mae Blevins. He is survived by his wife Edith, sister Nelda Jean, daughter Gale and his son Duane and Daughter-in-law Mary. Other family includes, Fred and Sandy Bedford, Ray and Pauline Bedford, Billie Brannan, Ramona Bedford, Jeff Guthery, Sean Guthery and Jason Guthery. Jack’s greatest joys were his grandchildren Bella rose Marie Blevins and Famous Jack David Blevins. Jackie Leo Blevins lived a full blessed life and went to be with our Lord on January 24, 2016. Services to be held at Floral Haven in Tulsa on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., at the Rose Chapel of Floral Haven. Interment will be at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
