We will truly miss Earl's smiling face around the donut shop. His sharp wit and wonderful stories were always something to look forward to. His presence will truly be missed! We will always have a piece of him and his adventures with the fish he has caught that hang on the wall at the donut shop. My condolences to you and your family.
I was saddened to learn of Earl Lay's passing. He was a dear friend and co-worker of my dad Bill Sherry. I can remember having Earl and Bess in our home when I was growing up. My dad talked of Earl often. While I don't remember many details I do have a sense of how much my dad and mom cared and respected Earl. My condolences to Bess and the family.
Few men are as good of a man and person as Earl was. Bess and all of those who loved Earl will miss him, but should also rest assured that he is in a far better place now with our Father in heaven.
