It saddens me greatly to hear that Jim passed away in 2018 in Tulsa. Not only did Jim and I share in becoming Chemical Engineers but he was in Shelley and my wedding. I remember numerous times of going to his and Martha's apartment to "study." We were in ROTC together and drove LTC Whicher's car up to summer camp in 1967 from Tuscaloosa to Fr. Bragg in Fayetteville, NC and back. We were in the same company. I remember his love of music and frustration when he couldn't figure out how the Beatles could play so well on a 12 string.

The irony is that we lived in St. Louis, MO from 1983 until 2014 when I retired and moved back to Simpsonville, SC just south of Greenville, SC. I did Environmental Consulting and visited SW Missouri and Tulsa on several occasions in the 1990's.

Jim was a great guy and if it were not for this pandemic I may never have found out about his life, family and passing.

I worked with Jim at Exterran and grew to admire and respect him. He had a lot of common sense and experience and was greatly respected in our Industry.we got together many times and played guitar with Bud Hembree. Very talented with the guitar. I will miss him very much. Rest In Peace Jim. Best wishes to Jim’s family.

My friend Jim and his wife Martha were good friends during our time together in Saudi Arabia. Jim and I worked together in the Facilities Planning Dept. I had the pleasure of supporting several projects that Jim was key in their success. But it was our time away from work that was special. Since we were both from the South, we shared many common interest including Football. One travel memory was both our families were on vacation and we met up in Honalulu, Hawaii for Thanksgiving Lunch. We were certainly world travelers.
I got to talk to Jim after many years this past May. He bragged on Martha and of course the boys and the Grandkids. I am thankful we were able to catch up. Will miss you Jim, rest well and Roll Tide!

I’m very sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. I worked for Jim for a few yrs at Exterran. He was a great leader, teacher and friend. I had the pleasure of playing music with him on a few occasions. He was a great guitar player. I always enjoyed listening to him play. A true fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He also loved to eat those biscuits on game day! I was privileged to have known him and to call him my friend. He will be missed. God Bless

Martha, Shannon, Todd and extended family,
I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of Jim and understand what an important part of your lives he played. He was a pleasant man to be around and I enjoyed the brief times I saw him with Martha at a Jarman function. The sudden loss of a loved one is especially hard as we are so unprepared and stunned for many days, months. Whenever I watch Bama play, I always think of your mom and dad as I know what dedicated fans they are. Please know that my wish is for you to hold those cherished memories close at heart and never allow them to fade. God is already at our tomorrows and has welcomed Jim with arms of joy. May he rest in peace.

I will miss Jim very much. He was my boss and co-worker for 4 years and was great at both. He never hesitated to share his knowledge and taught me alot. Although I have not seen or spoken to him after he retired, I still thought of him often and missed his humor and smile. I do blame him for the fact that after every lunch and dinner I have to have a small sweet treat, LOL.
Jim was loved very much and will be missed. My prayers to all who loved him.
