He was an avid football fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Jim loved music and played the guitar from an early age. The Beatles and Dire Straits were among his favorites.Travel was a big part of his life. Whether for work or pleasure, Jim enjoyed seeing the world. He and his family lived for seven years in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and took advantage of the opportunity to see over 22 countries.Jim was very proud of his work as a project manager and the plants he and his co-workers built in the US and in places like Russia and Bulgaria and made many friends on the job. However, when he retired almost six years ago, he never looked back. He has been a very happy retiree. In spite of leading a rather adventurous life, Jim’s greatest pleasures were in coaching Little League soccer and baseball.
