Mr. James Marcus Gallaher Sr.'s Obituary
James Marcus Gallaher, Sr. stepped into Heaven on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 8:21am at the age of 74. 'I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.' 2 Timothy 4:7 Jim is predeceased in death by his father Edward, mother Mildred, brother Luke, and granddaughters Melissa and Hannah. Jim is survived by his loving wife Grace Mary (Cambria) of 56 years. They were High School sweethearts and had 2 children. Jim is lovingly remembered by his son Jim Gallaher, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Broken Arrow, OK and their children Melissa, Jennifer, James and Clifford; and by his daughter Christine Osberghaus and husband Roy of Tulsa, OK and their children Rachel, Caleb and Aimee. He is also survived by brother Larry Gallaher and wife Annette of Jacksonville, FL and sister Linda Matsuda and husband Wayne of Littleton, CO and their families. Jim was born in Fort Smith, AR on July 15, 1938. He graduated from Brooklyn High School in Ohio in 1956 where he won many academic and sports awards. Jim worked as an Ohio State Trooper, Claims Adjuster for the Cleveland Yellow Cab Company and later their Claims Manager, The Tulsa Transit Director of Transportation, The Community Transit Director of Operations and Guide One Total Loss. Jim enjoyed hunting, outdoor nature, singing, Church and family. The Celebration of Life service will be held at Grace Church, 9610 S. Garnett Rd. Broken Arrow, OK 74012 on Tuesday, July 9th, 2013 at 1:00pm with Pastor Bob Yandian and Rev. Geof Jackson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Stroke Association 7272 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75231.
