James Jerry Maggio's Obituary
James Jerry Maggio 72 of Tulsa, Oklahoma; passed away on September 23, 2016. James was born in Rockford, Illinois to parents Lawrence Maggio and Katherine Maggio. He graduated from West High School in Rockford, Illinois. James was married to Sherrie (Burdick) Maggio on August 28, 1965. They were married for 40 years. James worked as a Branch Manager at Industrial Tractor Parts for 32 years. He loved his work. His hobbies included watching football and basketball. He also liked to play baseball in his younger years. In addition to spending time with his family. He was a veteran in the infantry in the Vietnam War and was in countless battles. James is survived by his children Lynn Lowden & husband Steven and Adam Maggio & wife Courtney; his grandchildren, Steven, Gavin, Jake and Sam; his brother Samuel Maggio & wife Jean; his two sisters, Angie Perkey and Marian DeWeerdt & husband Calvin “Cal”; his six nephews, Gary ,Greg, and Mike Perkey, Dan and Jeff DeWeerdt, Sam Maggio; his two nieces, Amy DeWeerdt O’Toole and Jody Maggio Licon. He is proceeded in death by his wife Sherrie Maggio; parents, Lawrence and Katherine Maggio. A wake will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from7:00PM to 8:00PM at the family home, 10110 S 77th E Place; Tulsa, Oklahoma 74133. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00AM at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 4001 E 101st Street; Tulsa, Oklahoma 74137. Following the memorial mass there will be a reception at the family home 10110 S 77th E Place; Tulsa, Oklahoma 74133. Services have been entrusted to Floral Haven Funeral Home, Floral Shop, Crematory & Memorial Shop, 6500 S 129th E Ave; Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that a donation be made to St. Jude’s Hospital in James name. The family have arranged travel accommodations of a discounted rate at the Hampton Inn, 8220 E Regal Place; Tulsa, Oklahoma 74133 for those travel to attend services.
