James "Jim" Roy Morris' Obituary
James “Jim” Roy Morris was born August 10, 1941 in Wichita, Kansas and passed away March 12, 2017. Jim graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1959 and then attended O.S.U. for two years. He got accepted into the apprentice program at North American Rockwell. Eventually Jim became a Master Tool Maker and helped make rockets that were flown to the moon! He eventually retired from Nordam. Jim married the love of his life, Patricia Joanne Campbell in 1961. Together the couple raised three children, Brett, Becky and Jeff. The family lived 35 years out in the country in Beggs before moving to Broken Arrow in 2009. When Jim wasn’t working he enjoyed attending Eastside Church of Christ in Coweta. He walked his life in Christ and for Christ. Jim also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will always be remembered by everyone who knew him as the Best husband, father, grandfather and friend! Jim is preceded in passing by his parents, Leland and Mildred Morris and his grandson, Jordan Morris. Jim is survived by his spouse, Patricia “Pat” Morris; son, Brett Morris and his wife Nita, daughter, Becky Johnson and her husband Dewey, son, Jeff and his wife Shelly; grandchildren, Levi and Jesse, Mason, Andrea, Taylor and Alex and numerous other family members and friends.There will be a Celebration of Life Service, Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Jordan Morris Memorial Fund at Banc First: 808 S. Main St. Stillwater, OK 74074.
