What a wonderful person she was – she was God's 'good and faithful servant' and in the end is that the best tribute that anyone can receive. Our fondest memories of her are at the games and in the tent before and during TU's football games. Always a smile, always positive, always classy. Even when things were ruff at TU – she rose above it and set quite the example. She will be missed but the Glory is to God that you will be with her in Heaven. When I think of Janice my first thoughts are of her beautiful smile. Her smile was so big it could light up a room yet so intimate I would feel individually drawn into her presence. She was a down to earth type of woman. What you saw was her, no pretense no putting on airs. She was a woman who loved her Lord and loved to talk about her faith. The other thing she loved to talk about was her family, they were only second to her love of Jesus. When I first came to Riverview and joined her Sunday School class, I knew I was in for some good teachings, and I was not disappointed. James, Dave, Daniel and families,My parents, Otis and Ruby Johnston, were good friends to James and Janice. We attended church together many years ago. I ran into James and Janice in Warehouse Market in BA, a few months before they closed; I hadn't seen them for many years, but was so glad to have the chance to visit with them for a few minutes. Janice told me about her illness, and I was so sorry to hear that.She was an outstanding Christian lady, and I'm glad I had the opportunity of knowing her. While it must be very hard to say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing it is only a brief goodbye. When you see her again, there will be no more goodbyes.I regret I cannot attend her service, but will try to be at the visitation Wed. evening.
