Halbert, Jerry Wayne's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry Wayne Halbert, age 72, from Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
Jerry was born to his parents Donald and Ruby Halbert on October 1, 1952. He grew up with his siblings Thomas and Rea Ann. Jerry graduated from Daniel Webster High School in 1970. Jerry attended some college at Tulsa Junior College but soon after entered the Army and served as a medic for four years in the Korean War. In 1983 Jerry and Geneva married. The birth of their first child Kristin was soon to follow along with Jesse, Anna, and Don. Jerry raised four children as a single father after the passing of Geneva in 1994. Jerry worked as a welder for the majority of his working career. He loved whittling, spending time with his dogs, and loving his grandkids. He was a jokester and loved to laugh.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, oldest nephew Donald, and oldest daughter Kristin. Jerry is survived by oldest son Jesse, and his wife Lyn and children JT & Hannah, daughter Anna, and her husband Cris and daughter Aris, son Don, and his wife Ashley and their children, Cooper, Grace, Avery, Riley, Hunter, and Tatum. And by his sister Rea Ann, and nephew Joseph.
Visitation will be at Floral Haven on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 1 – 5 p.m.
The funeral will be held at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow, on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 12:30 pm. 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012. Final resting place Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of Prophets.
Pallbearers: Don Halbert, Jesse Halbert, Cooper Halbert, JT Halbert, Joseph Halbert-Helton, and James Barker. Honorary pallbearers: Jason Scott, and Cris Perez
Jerry was proud of his family, his children, grandchildren, sister and nephews. He will be greatly missed.
