Fauneal, I was very sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. He was a very good friend to our family and extremely well though of. The Super Bowl parites are fond memories that I will always cherish. Dearest Fauneal, I've only just learned of our tragic loss. You have always been there for our family in times of need and now I have failed you. I'll never forgive myself. My family has always agreed that there is no better friend than Fauneal Nash and our memories of you and Jerry are treasures. Jerry was a great guy who I knew for 50 years+/-. My late mother Lucille (Lucy to Jerry) worked at the Tulsa District Corps of Engineers where she met Jerry, who then became my dad Ray's golfing buddy. I too was honored to play golf with Jerry a number of times.Jerry attended my Dad's 100th birthday luncheon just 2 months ago (December 16, 2011), and it was great to see him. I thought he looked fine and had no idea that he was ailing.Jerry, you're now in the Father's house, where I plan to see you again.Regards,Bruce Barrett
Jerry Nash, Paul Mace and I made a trip to Omaha and NYC to check out several contractors for a job on a Corps project. What a wonder guy he was. He was the best at what he did. Engineering contracts! Please accept my condolences and my admiration for Jerry. I always considered him a friend and mentor. I was Resident Engineer at Keystone for 10 years and Area Engineer in Kansas and Northern Oklahoma for another 10 years. Jerry was always there for professional guidance, steak fries and if I needed help with the Credit Union. God bless his family and he will be missed by his COE family.
I really enjoyed working for Jerry as an engineering contract negotiator. His leadership taught me a lot about how to work within the Corp. The office was a fun place to work. Go with God.Dave
