Jerry B Nash's Obituary
. Jerry B. Nash passed away Friday, February 24, 2012. He was born in Tulsa on January 8, 1928 to G.B. and Evelyn Nash. Jerry joined the Navy at 16 years-with his father’s permission. He served from 1944 to1946, then graduated from Rogers High School. He attended Tulsa University and worked as a Civil Engineer at The Corps of Engineers, retiring after 43 years of service. Jerry loved his work. He enjoyed cooking; organizing the steak cookouts which brought the field and central offices of the Corps together. He served for 37 years on the the Board of Directors of The Tulsa Federal Credit Union. In 1949 he married Marjorie Arnell. They had 36 years together until her death. Jerry remarried and spent 23 years with his wife, Fauneal. He was preceded in death by his brother Don. He is survived by his brother Bob, four nephews; Terry, Brant, Chris and Cam as well as his extended family: Mike Morgan, Ethen Perkins (Linda), Norman Perkins (Sheree), Ruthanne Wright (Bill) and Gaylene Perkins. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner and belonged to the Royal Order of Jesters. Jerry was a member of Boston Avenue Methodist Church. Dr. Bill Tankersley officiated at the memorial service held at Floral Haven Monday, 3:00p.m., February 27, 2012. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charitable and Educational Foundation, Tulsa Scottish Rite, 9529 E. 51st St. or the Community Food Bank, 1304 N. Kenosha, Tulsa, 74106.
