Jesse "Ed" Edward McQueary's Obituary
Jesse “Ed” Edward McQueary was born May 2, 1939 in Wichita, Kansas and passed away September 2, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ed was the youngest of five children born to Jesse and Alma McQueary. Ed attended Wichita East High School and later went on to attend Tulsa Tech Center. Ed joined the Navy and served his country from 1961~1965 where he attained the rank mm2. On August 8, 1964 Ed married the love of his life Diana K (Minter). The couple lived in Charleston, South Carolina until Ed finished his duty in the U.S. Navy; then they moved to Wichita, Kansas where their children, Doug and Mandy were born. In 1970 the couple moved to Oklahoma eventually residing in Broken Arrow. Ed worked as machinist then later became a plumber; eventually he opened his own business JEMCO in 1983. JEMCO was originally a Mobile Home repair business and later became a plumbing contractor business. Ed and Diana spent many years enjoying a cabin they built at Lake Eufaula. The couple loved traveling and were able to spend the last few years seeing much of the U.S. and Caribbean. Family was most important to Ed. He was a proud father and especially proud grandfather. When Ed wasn’t spending time with his family he loved fishing , visiting with people and being ornery. Ed will be missed but not forgotten. Ed is survived by his spouse Diana K. McQueary; son Doug McQueary and his fiancé Kelli Ridgeway; daughter Amanda and her husband Kenny Lomax; grandchildren Corey and Jessica Lomax and Taylor and Kinley McQueary; mother-in-law Geneva Minter; brother-in-laws Tom Minter and Darrell Minter; sister-in-laws Vonnie Minter and Jolie Mintersister, Mary McQueary and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family and friends.
