Jimmie Daryl Buchanan's Obituary
My brother was soooo admired by all of our family members. He was very independent growing up, choosing his own way to live the life he dreamed of. And that is what he did. After attending his day at the (Oklahoma) Broken Arrow High School, he would finish is day working for the Broken Arrow Ledger. He saved up and purchased his own car and enlisted into the Air Force as a Paratrooper after graduation. After the Army he graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics with high honors and worked his way up chartering airplanes for the Elite. Before living in Twin Falls, Idaho, he worked and lived in Selma, Alabama. There he worked for a Glass company for an Owner named Mr. Stripling. Mr. Stripling had Jim fly in friends for visits from Oklahoma such as Anita Bryant and another celebrities such as the Comedian Bob Hope (Mr. (Golf partner and friend). He fathered one son by a wonderful lady he met in Charleston, MO. He use to spend all his extra time outside his work to return and visiting his mother, brother and sisters. His life dream was to come back to Oklahoma and live in Tahlequah where he grew up as a boy. He loved telling stories of the days he stayed with his grandmother in Hulbert, OK playing in the hills while Grandma Delila Cole Duvall watched over him. Jim finally lived those last days in Tahlequah. Thank you Jim for loving us and giving us so many great memories. We will always love and miss you. He lived a belief as a Presbyterian and was an awesome man in everyway. Loving you, from your sister Carelen (Carolyn).
