I miss you brother. See you on the other side.
He had tons of energy and always gave it his all. I'll always remember him working/playing at Tulsa Ice Arena and going to tournaments in Wichita. I always enjoyed his photos and will miss his perspective.– Cody Bengel
My 16-year-old son, Jack Settle, at age 13 became an international award-winning photographer and will be a participant in the Oklahoma Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain this next month. I tell you that information, not to boast, but to let you know that he is a serious photographer. This year was Jackâ??s first foray into political photojournalism; he worked for several days and went through several channels to gain media credentials for his first US presidential political rally, a Trump rally. This was a challenge because the newspaper Jack was trying to get credentialed to represent is his high school newspaper and as far as we could tell, he was the only high school photographer trying to get media credentials. He also had to get special permission from his school to count the rally as an excused absence. Finally, after a lot of work, everything was clear for him to go and photograph the rally. At the rally, there was an area set aside for photojournalists and videographers. Additionally, the photojournalists were allowed a few at a time to walk down an aisle to be able to get close-ups of Mr. Trump. However, the Trump official (a local person) would not allow Jack (presumably because he was â??only a teenagerâ?) access to get those close-ups. I guess Jimmy saw what was happening and was exceptionally kind to Jack by allowing Jack to use his very powerful zoom lens so that Jack could get some closer shots. Jimmy somehow expertly managed to simultaneously treat Jack with the respect that Jimmy would give to a fellow photojournalist and to simultaneously act as a mentor to Jack. Jack and Jimmy saw each other again at a few other political rallies and Jack was always so excited to see him and came home and told me some of the stories that Jimmy shared with Jack. I fully expected to meet Jimmy at some point in the future so that I could thank him in person for being so kind and encouraging to Jack, and I really regret that I didnâ??t just reach out on Facebook or something. You can see some of the pictures that Jack took using Jimmyâ??s lens on Jackâ??s photography website: http://jacksettlephotography.weebly.com — Click on Gallery, Rallies, and then Donald Trump. Also, I am going to try to attach a picture of Jack and Jimmy (from the Marco Rubio rally) that I downloaded from Facebook so it is a really poor quality version. We are so sorry for your loss and we will be praying for all of you.
The people of the world lost the physical presence of an amazing person but his light, his energy, his love and the impact he made on everyones lives will always be remembered and felt.

I just want to say what a solid guy Jimmi was from the time we we're 12-13 years old playing hockey together to the man he grew up to that I got to see on social media. I haven't seen Jimmi in a year or two but he always had his positive outlook that was contagious. You will never be forgotten and I hope you realize what an amazing impact you had on all of us!
I can always remember our traveling hockey trips, we we're always together hanging out getting into what kids do when we were stuck in hotels(banging on doors and running, or locker room boxing in the hotel rooms, I always looked up to Jimmi on how positive he was 24/7! He always had a great outlook on life no matter what was going on. I will always have respect for you and your family, and you will always be missed! Love you like a brother and always will! RIP Downtown Jimmi Brown!!!!
A true Blessing to so many people on his journey! A true protector, loyal, kind, had many wonderful gifts and talents! JR and Paula and Jimmy were family to us. Sooo many wonderful memories! We laughed together and cried together! My heart is broken. Loved him so very much! Valerie Russell
