Our last visit with Joan was in the summer of 2006. It was the first time that I had seen her in a very long time. Of course, all of our families lived so far away from one another and due to work schedules, it was hard to be able to see and visit our relatives. On this trip, though, my wife, Carol, and I brought Joan's Aunt Duritha, my mother, to visit with Joan. Joan drove us around Tulsa and showed us a lot of things that we hadn't seen before on previous trips and just how big the city was getting. We really enjoyed our visit. It would be the last visit for Aunt Duritha and the last time that I would see Joan in this world.
