Joan Marie Uribe's Obituary
Joan Marie (McLaughlin) Uribe passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in Tulsa after a lengthy illness; she was 70. Joan Marie was born in Los Angeles County, California on December 8, 1944, along with her twin sister, Judith Ann, to John Stanley and Fay Irene (Brunk) McLaughlin. She was educated in California and Oklahoma, and worked at Henryetta Medical Center for many years before retiring in 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as a daughter, Dawn Marie Reid. She is survived by her children; Bonnie Hererra of Fresno, California; John Uribe (& wife Lisa) of Odessa, Texas; Brett Uribe of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and David Uribe of Henryetta, Oklahoma. Her sister, Judy McLaughlin, of Simi Valley, California; and brother, Gary McLaughlin (& wife Clarice) of Palmdale, California. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Arrangements are being handled by Floral Haven in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.A memorial service will be held in Henryetta, Oklahoma in the near future; in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (www.hdsa.com) or your local HDSA Chapter.
