Joel Eugene Roberts, known to family and friends as Joe, passed away Thursday, July 16th at home in Broken Arrow, OK after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Joe was born at St. John’s hospital in Tulsa, OK on January 10th, 1966. H Read Obituary
Such beautiful pictures of this sweet family. Knowing that Joe was not a big socializer, I was so surprised and thrilled that he came with Kim to an employee Christmas party.
I watched him laugh and enjoy the frivolities of our gathering ! God bless you all with the beauty of precious memories.
I wanted to share another memory...Jessica may not know of this since Joe was little ...
One Christmas ( or birthday?) Grandpa Simms got Joe a GI Joe helicopter...
Grandpa was pleased as punch cause he thought it would really fly...
When he found out it did NOT fly, he exclaimed vehemently "WELL BULL!"
Everyone had a good laugh.
I remember Joe charging around with a football under his arm, and throwing himself down...he was ever the budding Dallas Cowboy!

I remember well when Joe came into the family. Grandma took us to Bixby to see him...when they lived by Central park we would go spend summer days playing with Mitzi...and Joe. He was a toddler and we would get him to chase us by screaming
" jaggley eyes Joe!" That was Mitzis idea...anyway we had fun. I remember how tough he was...there were not many noys in our family . Grandpa Simms once made the remark "tough as a pine nut".
I am so glad he married his school sweetheart and lived a great life with her. Wonderful girls they raised too.
