Joel Eugene Roberts' Obituary
Joel Eugene Roberts, known to family and friends as Joe, passed away Thursday, July 16th at home in Broken Arrow, OK after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Joe was born at St. John’s hospital in Tulsa, OK on January 10th, 1966. He attended Broken Arrow High School and worked for many years as a residential and commercial painter. Joe married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Kim on November 7th, 1985. He was an avid sports fan, with a deep love for OU and Dallas Cowboy football, and Cincinnati Reds baseball. Joe was a proud father of two daughters and recently found great joy being ‘Pops’ to his first grandson.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents Betty Dyer and Jerry Roberts. He is survived by his wife of over 34 years, Kim Roberts; daughter Jessica Mugg and son-in-law David Mugg; daughter Nikki Roberts; grandson David Joel Mugg; stepmother Janice Roberts; sister Mitzi Roberts and husband Greg Reid; brother Ryan Roberts; sister Leigh Hampton and husband Waymond; brother Steven Roberts and wife Lauren; mother-in-law Mary Ott; sister-in-law Michelle Minter and husband Steve; 10 nieces and nephews; one great niece and one great nephew.
No funeral services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Broken Arrow Animal Shelter.
