I was introduced to Joey thru my husband daniel cole (baby Cole). He kept telling me about a football player our son had to meet he wanted Joey to talk to our son encourage him and give him some pointers. Joey came by and did that and more he spoke highly of his wife & family and invited us to church. He would always encourage my husband and he had a great heart he will be missed by my husband and myself he was a good man. Prayers are with his wife & children & family. I will always remember #thefootballplayer
I only remember Joey as this cute little baby and boy with a beautiful smile. My prayers are with my old friend Candy and the rest of Joey's family. It sounds as though he grew up to be loved by many. May he Rest In Peace. Diane (Jackson) Easterling
The very first memory I come to, when I think of Joey, is third grade elementary football. The cheerleaders (myself included) were busy cheering the pirates on to beat those Hens. (I've dated myself)Joey was on the sideline, smiling, helmet in hand, doing each movement we were struggling to conquer , with perfection. He smiled the entire time!My classmate, Blake, said it already… but it's worth repeating. Anyone who remembers Joey will remember his infectious smile and his embrace. I'm honored to know him.I'm really excited to see him again in eternity.
My first memory of Joey. Mikki, Jim and I were working in Nursery B, Elizabeth was a tiny, gorgeous newborn. Outside the room, just standing there was this larger than life man. I asked if anybody knew who that was and Mikki chimed up, "that's my husband"! I turned back to "check him out", making sure he was okay for our sweet Mikki. Well as fast as I turned around to look he gave "that smile". I melted, he laughed. I'm glad there were more smiles to come. Mikki, Lizzie and Zion I pray Fathers blessing over you and expect to see and hear good reports of His love and faithfulness. Love you, Karen King
