I didn't know John personally but I ha e watched him and the rest of the force on the first 48, amd After the first 48 for 10 years. He was always level headed and determined. His love for what he did would shine through all the time for the world to see, even during the toughest circumstances. I was shocked tonight when I found out about his passing from an episode of After the first 48 dedication to him. My sincerest and heartfelt condolences go out to the family and all of the li es that he touched. God bless you Detective John rown. You have put lots of inspiration and encouragement into my life especially after the last several years. My mother passed, my "2nd' best friend passed, and then I lost my best friend 9/24. Then I I started taking care of my brother and who has a terminal brain disease and I'm just so grateful for you and for the rest of the first 48 cast in Tulsa for everything you do and keeping everyone safe and you're always all in my prayers to make it home safely, and I am grateful you have been a part of my journey. You passed the day after my birthday, so I won't forget. Spread those wings amd fly continuing to share your dedication.
By far my favorite detective on first 48. He seemed like a honest straightforward no nonsense man
