My sister and i both ran for coach Inkster in the mid-80s. My Sister was at Rogers high for 4 year. Myself,i was only there for 1 before we moved to Norman. That one year, i have great memories for coach Inkster and my teammates of that year. The next three year at norman i was able to see him at a few track meets and at the state meet.
Happy 82nd Birthday today Dad. You were a great dad and I will miss you. Glad you are not in pain any more. You are at peace with our Heavenly Father. Rejoice in our Lord. I love you dad.Your daughter Kim
Coach Inkster was a great influence on my life. After three seasons of swimming and two seasons of cross country, I learned much from this man.I learned how to be tougher and stronger in the face of adversity.I learned how to be patient and understanding when things don't go as planned.I learned how to celebrate victory and how to accept defeat.But, most of all I learned the value of helping others to achieve things they didn't think possible.Coach Inkster was a great man who will be missed.
Dear Kim and Pam, I am so sorry that you have lost your only parent, John. I didn't know him that well, but he seemed to be a very friendly guy and was certainly a proud and dedicated dad. We used to play couples bridge at your mom and dads home. I am sorry to hear of his death and although I knew he had Parkinsons Disease, I know you two girls took very good care of him in his late years.
