It is bittersweet how some people come into your story for several chapters, but leave such an impression that you can't help but mark their place. Even though they didn't stay until the final page of your journey, their chapters still matter so much. You find yourself returning to those dog-eared pages, rereading the moments you shared, all the time with Ashley and Peter, and Blair and Bradley, and all the grandkids and with your parents and mine, with all the friends we shared, smiling at the memories that still feel so vivid....Your pages, Bob are permanently folded down, not as a reminder of what we didn't finish, but as a celebration of what was. Because our chapters, however brief, remain as some of my favorites in the entire book of my life. Love you, Bob always and forever. I believe that we'll meet up together again in heaven. Lord willing, maybe we'll even play a few hands of gin. I'm looking forward!
