A great memory I have of Paul was a road trip my brothers and I took with him to Colorado. It was a rather long trip. At one point, I believe Paul was getting a little antsy. As we were driving along, Paul all of a sudden spoke out in a rather-elevated tone and said; “stop the car!” “Stop the car right now,” well, of course all of us were wondering what the heck, and asked why. He said, “ I have to get out and climb that mountain RIGHT now!” “I want to climb that mountain now!” We all thought that was funny and I cannot remember to this day if we actually stopped to let him fulfill his request. Paul was a bright light. Never met a person he didn’t immediately befriend. He genuinely cared about people. I’m honored to say that I was his friend. Paul, I hope you’re climbing that mountain now. Rest in peace my friend.
