well the year was 1975 an I just went to work for sears at 21 and yale. they hired me to manage a little diner. so one day I was taking a break and this man come up and said can I set down. sure my name is bill. I am joe the friendship began. joe and herald and myself have had some good times and some bad ones . any how we have had some great deer hunting and some fishing . anyway the time goes on. joe has always help any one and herald and myself join in to help the best we could. anyway most of the hunting trips has a story and I cant remember most. some good times and some zero trips and some warmer some snow some ice and herald best rain like h— during black power. so if helping the family without joe call me.

The first time I met Joe was at a gathering with my niece Steph and her, at the time, finance Tony. There was tons of good food and everyone had such a great time. Joe and I was at the table getting food at the same time and then we were next to each other again when we had gone back for dessert. The next gathering, Joe and I ended up in line next to each other – getting food again! Through the years and all the family gatherings I was able to attend, Joe and I would laugh because we were always in the 'food line' the same time. Sadly, on Tuesday, I will see Joe for the last time. He was a wonderful father. I know this from not so much what he said about Dorothy but how he acted and treated her in front of others. I know he was a great father because when Mary or Tony walked into the room, Joe lit up like a Christmas Tree. Joe was a great Father-in-Law because he treated and loved Steph as if she was his daughter. As a Grandfather, there are few men who could be more proud of his grandchildren. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing his siblings but I'm sure they would have great stories to tell. He was a great friend to many and as much as he loved them all, they loved him back. My sincere condolences to Dorothy and all the family. Love you Tony, Steph, and Pey and I'm so sorry for your loss.
Sue Cornett and family: We were blessed to live across the street from Joe and Dorothy for many years as each of us raised our children. I could never begin to share the wonderful memories we have of those days and how blessed we were to have Joe and Dorothy and Tony and Mary in our lives. Dorothy, Tony and Mary are in our prayers and all who loved Joe – he was a wonderful man.
