I am so saddened by the news. Joe was a good friend. I met Joe in high school. He was always upbeat and happy and one of the easiest dudes to talk to. I remember ditching school with Joe, burning rubber in the parking lot, to go off roadin' yeehaw! You will truely be missed. Joe and Kim we were so Sadden when we heard the news that our sweet Jay had gone on to be with our Lord..there are no words anyone can say to console your heart. Ernest and I know the feeling very well our precious Erica went to be with the Lord 3years ago.. If anyone knows the pain we know it very well, so our hearts go out to y'all and our prayers. We played Wally after the bell 206/407 flight in escravos! He Taught me the rules of the game with a wonderful smile. Does he gets angry? I wonder! Still got to meet in Lagos on the 76. He was and still a man with a good heart. We will miss u.
The last time I saw JW (which is what we all called him as a child) was when we were children in the early 1980's. I am saddened to hear of his death. I send my condolences and prayers for the Lords blessing of comfort, encouragement, and protection to "Jays" wife and children.
Jay you were the best son-in-law and we are going to miss you so much so in memory of you we light a candle.
We met Jay once (at Kristin and Troy's wedding) and knew that this man was a friend to all. If asked if there were one word to describe Jay, it would be exuberant. Jay seemed to be so full of energy, excitement, and enthusiasm. The love for Jay's family and friends was evident and no one was a stranger. Embrace those memories!!
Jay and I shared an apartment for a year at the beginnings of our flight training at Cape Canaveral in 2005. We both had families living on the other side of the state so would see each other and share stories during the week. I miss the smile and BBQs we had by the pool. It goes without saying that his family was the most important thing in his life. Jay I can't make it to your service but am priveldged to have memories from knowing you. You will never be gone from those whose lives you touched…rest easy big fella….time to spread those wings. Gavin
