Josette Popplewell's Obituary
Josette Popplewell, 62, of Broken Arrow, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2014. She was born on November 7, 1951, in Carmel, California, the daughter of Joseph and Elsie Mascarenas. On November 27, 2001, she married James “Pete” Popplewell, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She loved doing arts and crafts of all kinds. She is survived by four children, Shasheen Downs, of Bentonville, Arkansas, Phillip Downs, and his wife, Raychel, of Claremore, Oklahoma, Veronica Fugate, and her husband, Dustan, of Beggs, Oklahoma, and Monica Tucker, and her husband, Rickey Marsden, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, fifteen grandchildren, LeAllen Creekmore, Cheyenne Creekmore, Cassie Williams, Dylan Williams, Eli Downs, Elizabeth Downs, Emma Downs, Chance Sawyer, Christina Fugate, Carmen Fugate, Austin Marsden, Destiney Marsden, Nicholas Marsden, Joshua Gordon, and Logan Gordon, two great-grandchildren, Tori Creekmore, and Thaddeous Creekmore, siblings, Barbie Gardner, Mary Keinle, Catherine Madison, and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Versa Baker, and brother, John Mascarenas. Memorial donations may be made in Josette’s name to Vision of Faith, 8730 S Lynn Lane Rd, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
